CANTABILÉ CHOIR

Cantabilé is a friendly and lively choir which has been running now for over 10 years.

We consist of around 40 mixed voices, and sing mainly sacred choral works, usually accompanied by an orchestra.

We rehearse once a week on a Thursday evening at 7.30pm, and perform to large audiences 2-3 times a year, usually in St Luke's Church, Parkstone, where we currently practice.

We had our first concert for this year on 24th April with the lovely 'Nelson Mass' by Haydn and Schubert's Mass in G.  Our usual summer mix was on 10th July and included 'A Little Jazz Mass' by Bob Chilcott and our final concert for the year will be a lovely Christmas mix of carols, Vaughan Williams' 'Fantasia on Christmas Carols' and Poulenc's 'Gloria', starting at 6.30pm on Sunday 11th December.

If you came along earlier in the year we do hope you enjoyed our concerts and we look forward to seeing you in December.

Our Musical Director is Jean Holt

We are always looking for new members particularly tenors and altos, so if you would like to join, please contact Jean on 01202 749778, or email jeanholt76@hotmail.com
